About

I'm Jennifer Trippett. I build things — and I always have.

When I graduated high school, I knew I hadn't found my 'thing' yet — you know, the thing that drives you, that allows you to thrive. I was accepted to Carnegie Mellon, but I wasn't about to spend Ivy League tuition figuring out what I wanted to do. Instead, I chose an affordable school, took a variety of classes in business, art, technology, writing, and economics, studied abroad, took classes every summer, and graduated in three years with two degrees and a minor.

After that, I worked in marketing for almost a year, then landed in an anthropology lab at Penn State, where I learned to prep samples for radiocarbon dating. I ended up designing custom equipment to make the lab run smoother and automate the existing processes. That experience — seeing a problem and building a solution — led me to a master's program in architecture at LSU on a full ride. It didn't take long to realize the program emphasized what a design meant rather than whether it worked, and I soon found myself seeking my next step. But even after leaving the program, I stayed on in the fabrication lab, learning the ins and outs of laser cutting, CNC mills, 3D printers, and resin casting.

Then I found code. It clicked instantly — every problem had a solution, everything I built had a purpose, and the challenges never stopped. I completed a master's in computer science while working full-time, then spent three years at IBM leading a small team and shipping project after project across every phase of development. After that came a fintech startup processing 50 million tweets a day, a healthcare technology company where I took over from the founding engineer, and an AI consulting firm where we built document extraction tools before LLMs changed the game.

Through all of it, I kept learning fast, mastering the process, and then improving it or building something better. That's still what I do — only now, I do it for small business owners who need senior technical expertise without the enterprise price tag, and I build the tools I wish existed for people like me.

That's Intentional Ventures. Every product, every brand, every resource — built with purpose.
